[ROANOKE, Va.] — 04/08/25— WDBJ7 and WZBJ24 proudly celebrate the extraordinary career of Jean Jadhon, an award-winning journalist who has been the voice in our communities for 33 years. As Jean retires from "WDBJ7, Your Hometown Station," we reflect on her remarkable contributions that have shaped our lives.
A seven-time Emmy-nominated journalist, Jean’s exceptional coverage has earned her widespread recognition, including the News Anchor of the Year title from the Virginias’ Associated Press Broadcasters in 2017, 2020, and 2022. Jean also won a regional Edward R. Murrow Award for her reporting and anchoring on a child abuse documentary, reflecting her unwavering dedication to impactful storytelling.

Jean has been at the forefront of history, covering moments that deeply resonate with our local hometowns - and beyond.

She anchored nine continuous hours of live coverage during the tragic Virginia Tech massacre in 2007, delivering critical updates with poise and compassion. She earned Emmy nominations for her health reporting and special coverage of the D-Day 75th Anniversary. She also extensively reported on the devastating flooding caused by Hurricane Michael’s remnants in Virginia.
