About Us

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southwest Virginia is a locally funded & operated non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization that works to improve the health & well being of children & families by providing the Ronald McDonald House and the Ronald McDonald Family Room.

Our RM House serves about 700 families each year - on average approximately 10,100 individuals. It offers a ''home-away-from-home'' for families who need to stay close to their hospitalized child here in Roanoke. There is no charge to stay at the RM House but donations are requested. No one is turned away for inability to pay.

The RM Family Room served over 6,100 individuals in 2010, and offers a place for families to rest & regroup within the hosptial, close to their sick child.
