Shark Bite at the Ballpark
Patent Pending
Thomas Jefferson once said, “Where a new invention promises to be useful, it ought to be tried.” Many famous inventions started with protection from a U.S. patent, from the light bulb to the airplane. This month, we examine the United States patent system and review the different kinds of patents available and the benefits of each. We will focus in particular on utility patents, and examine the process, time and likely costs for obtaining one. We also will examine patent infringement issues with an eye toward helping you avoid costly patent litigation.
