''Principles of Community'' Wonderful First Wednesday Mixer
The Office for Equity and Inclusion at Virginia Tech and the Downtown Merchants of Blacksburg Inc. will be hosting a “Principles of Community” Wonderful First Wednesday Mixer on the rooftop at Kent Square in Downtown Blacksburg. Family-friendly food, drink, and music will highlight this casual event. The event is free and open to Virginia Tech faculty, staff, students, the business and professional community, and all community members. Parking at Kent Square will be free for this event. Rain location is the 4th Floor Kent Square Lobby.
This rooftop mixer will celebrate our collective sense of community and spirit of inclusion and will be a fun and relaxing way to wrap up the last day of spring classes at Virginia Tech. This mixer will also cast a spotlight on Virginia Tech’s Principles of Community and a new initiative to have the Principles adopted by local businesses as a sign of their commitment to diversity and inclusion.
