MC 2025 January Eggs & Issues: State of the County
The Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce will host its inaugural State of the County forum to kick off the Eggs & Issues for 2025. Attendees will hear from the Town of Christiansburg’s Mayor Mike Barber, Town of Blacksburg’s Mayor Leslie Hager-Smith and Montgomery County Board of Supervisor’s Chair Mary Biggs.
The State of the County is an open forum that provides attendees the opportunity to listen to updates on the two Towns and Montgomery County’s fiscal and developmental status. Those in attendance will be able to ask questions about issues affecting the business community. State of the County is a must-attend event for business leaders who are focused on government affairs and economic development.
Kevin Byrd with the New River Valley Regional Commission will serve as the moderator. Kevin began working for the Commission in 2005 as a Regional Planner and was appointed Executive Director in October 2009. He has close to 20 years of community development experience in the public sector at the town, county, and regional levels of government along with private sector consulting experience.
