MC 2025 February Small Business Workshop: Crisis Management
Join us for a session of educational insight for small business owners. The topic for this workshop will be "Crisis Management". This event is free to all chamber members, and attendance is available in-person or via Zoom.
Regardless of a business' size or industry there is always the possibility that a crisis may occur. In fact, one crisis theory argues that every business is either in a pre-crisis, crisis, or post-crisis phase. Preparing proactively is one of the first and more important steps a business can take toward crisis mitigation.
Join Caitlyn Scaggs, of Connect 936, for a workshop on Crisis Management that will include both strategic and tactical next steps. With experience at Radford University as spokesperson and career roots as a police officer, Caitlyn will bring a wealth of information from her lived experiences. Additionally, she has her master's in strategic communications and is a current on-camera media personality.
This workshop will include the basics like crisis phases, how to move through initial moments of crisis, and also how to develop systems and documentation that can be utilized should a crisis happen. You can expect an interactive session so please come with your questions and curiosities. You can also expect to leave this workshop encouraged. This will not be a gloom-and-doom workshop but rather a way for you to be better informed, equipped, and prepared to protect your business.
Zoom Attendees will be able to join us starting at 9am.
