March of Ales Beer Tasting Fundraiser

Second Annual March of Ales Beer Tasting Fundraiser Tickets on Sale Now Winter blues got you down? The Blacksburg Junior Women?s Club has the cure for what ales you. Shake off the cold and ring in March 2009 with our second annual charity beer tasting and auction. The March of Ales event will be held on Saturday, February 28 from 7:00 pm until midnight at The German Club Manor in Blacksburg, VA. All proceeds from the event will benefit local women?s and children?s charities. Guests at the March of Ales beer tasting will have the opportunity to participate in a silent auction and an exciting live auction with exclusive items such as overnight inn stays, country club memberships, signed Virginia Tech sports memorabilia, and more! A pint glass and tokens for ale tasting will be provided with each admission. Hot and cold hors d'oeuvres and dancing will highlight the evening. Designated driver services will be provided from 10:30pm-12:30am. All tickets will be pre-sold by contacting marchofales@yahoo.com, a Blacksburg Junior Women's Club member, or visiting The Vintage Cellar. Tickets are $35.00. All guests must be 21 years of age. This is a private event; tickets must be purchased in advance. Get your tickets early as this promises to be a sell-out event! This one-of-a-kind charity fundraiser promises to be a fun and frothy night benefiting children and women in the New River Valley. The Blacksburg Junior Women's Club is proud to host this event with the assistance of Vintage Cellar. With the proceeds from last years event, the Blacksburg Junior Women's Club was able to assist on projects ranging from literacy and "green" programs, Montgomery County Emergency Assistance, Salvation Army Christmas angels, local scholarships and emergency housing, and many other community needs. Blacksburg Junior Women's Club, an affiliate of the General Federation of Women's Club, is a non-profit organization working to enrich the community through service and contributions to local charities, especially those focused on women and children.
