Heroes Breakfast
The Montgomery-Floyd Chapter of the American Red Cross is hosting the first Hero’s Breakfast for the New River Valley. We are looking for local heroes who have saved a life, performed an act of courage or offered a valuable service to the community.
We want to honor and celebrate these individuals at a Heroes Breakfast event. This will be a community awards program to honor these Heroes.
Heroes will be recognized in five categories this year:
- Community Impact: An individual who made a positive difference in our community.
- Good Samaritan: Someone who acted selflessly in helping another in need.
- Disaster Response: An individual who exhibited outstanding efforts in response to natural disaster or assisting victims in an emergency situation (including social or financial assistance).
- First Responder: EMS, fire or law enforcement personnel who acted above and beyond the call of duty.
- Workplace: An individual or group who provided leadership and encouraged community effort in prevention, preparation, or response to an emergency situation.
You may already know of someone who should be nominated. As you think about heroes in our area, please take the time to fill out a nomination form and send it to us.
