Business 101 Financial Foundations: Session 1
A strong financial future starts with a clear understanding of where your money is going.
Session 1 of the Financial Foundations series is designed to introduce the core principles of budgeting in a way that is practical, approachable, and immediately useful. Whether you’re managing household finances, running a business, or simply looking to gain better control of your financial picture, this session will provide a structured starting point.
Participants will learn how to track income and expenses, identify spending patterns, and build a budget that reflects real-world priorities. The focus is on creating a system that is both sustainable and adaptable—one that can grow with you over time.
Leading the training is Dr. Kim Eagle, Town Manager of Christiansburg, bringing real-world experience in managing budgets that balance priorities, accountability, and long-term strategy. Expect clear guidance, relatable examples, and insights you can actually use the next day—not just theory that sounds good on paper.
This session serves as the foundation for the series and is required for those planning to attend Session 2. Seats are limited. Join us and start making your budget work for you instead of the other way around.
