Dennis Kitts returns for Part 2 of the RAAP story, focusing on the New River Ordnance Plant—Dublin’s Bagging Plant. Construction of the plant broke ground in February 1941, and it went on to employ thousands while playing a key role in wartime production and innovation. Historian and Author, Kitts Dennis Kitts is a retired Manager of Training & Development at the Radford Arsenal with nearly 30 years of service. As the official historian and author of the 75th Anniversary history of the Radford Ordnance Works, he is known for his engaging storytelling that brings to life the people, challenges, and triumphs that shaped this chapter of Virginia’s past.
