Join us for a variety of safety activities for children of all ages. Come out to meet race car driver Trey Jarrell, the teen ambassador for DRIVE SMART Virginia, as well as members of the Carilion Clinic Life-Guard air ambulance team and other first responders. Virginia Tech Transportation Institute staff will offer safety information and there will be distracted driving games and simulations. Festival activities include: Free bike helmet giveaway (child must be present, first-come, first-served basis) Trike and bike rodeo (bring your own) Car seat safety check and installation Interactive/distracted driving simulations Caricature artist Balloon magician Bounce house Healthy snacks and snow cones Educational presentations: Dating and Internet safety Stranger danger: predator safety Drowning prevention Dental health ATV safety MajestaCare, Medicaid health plan
