America's 250th w/Patrick Henry

Celebrate the 250th Birthdate of America with Patrick Henry, the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) and the HearthSong Singers! Nona Gabbert, chapter head of our regional DAR, will host an informative discussion about their organization and General William Campbells role as a Revolutionary War hero, key in our region of Appalachia. In attendance will also be Patrick Henry Jolly, a 5th great grandson of Patrick Henry. He will present his ancestor’s famous speech, “Liberty or Death” and discuss Red Hill, the National Memorial for Patrick Henry. The HearthSong Singers will present a short program of patriotic songs that will get everyone in the mood for celebrating. Following the discussion and Q & A there will be cake and refreshments to round out the event.
