SUMMARY:Rooted in Gratitude
DESCRIPTION:Late fall is a time for contemplation\, when we turn our energies from the external world to tending our inner gardens. In this workshop\, we will honor the season by grounding in our bodies\, connecting with the natural rhythms of our place\, and cultivating a stronger sense of gratitude for the humble generosity of the roots\, leaves\, and flowers. What to expect? Brandy & Lisa will begin the class with an introduction to nourishing plants that support us during this transitional season. Focusing on pranayama\, or breathing practices\, Brandy will instruct you on ways of exchanging the "green breath" with the natural world. Next\, they will guide you through a gentle movement preparing for the Yin portion of the class. Yin Yoga addresses the inner connective tissues or fascia while in accessible\, supported poses. These deep stretch poses allow the participants to soften into a slow release of tension and stress\, calming the nervous system and increasing range of motion. Lisa will offer optional Reiki during the Yin portion of the workshop. Ever been curious about Reiki? Reiki is the universal life force energy channeled to you through gentle touch. This is a great opportunity to receive this gentle hands on energy without committing to a full session. While in savasana\, Brandy's open-hearted guided meditation will take you on a mycelial journey through nature with a plant of your choice. Similar to Yoga Nidra\, the rejuvenating practice is both deeply relaxing and energizing. The class will end with an uplifting herbal tea ceremony to bridge the gap between deep relaxation and blooming into the rest of your day. Throughout the class\, enjoy soothing and healing vibrations from singing bowls and chimes.
