| The K.J. Kendall Memorial Scholarship was established out of love by friends and family to honor his memory and to continue the positive impact that he had on the community. The scholarship currently funds a one time gift of $1000 to a Blacksburg High School Senior each year. Drive, walk or bike your way through the inaugural United Way Drive-thru Breakfast hosted by the United Way of Montgomery, Radford and Floyd at the Hampton Inn in Christiansburg on May 29, 2015, from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m.
For a $10 donation pick up a full, delicious breakfast bag stuffed with a hot biscuit courtesy of the Hampton Inn, a fresh bagel from Blacksburg Bagels, fruit, granola bar, a fresh coffee and your morning newspaper. Other sponsors include Starbucks Coffee, Kroger, Food Lion, and Wade’s Foods. The Roanoke Times will provide the morning newspaper and a few lucky guests will win a grand prize provided by Todd’s Jewelry hidden in their bags!
Each $10 contribution will go 100% to United Way and stay in the New River Valley to connect people and resources. The Hampton Inn is located at 380 Arbor Drive in Christiansburg. Please follow volunteers as they direct you around the building to pick up your breakfast.
